pastef 2026: ousmane sonko remains sole valid candidate for leadership
The High Authority for Party Regulation (HARP) of Pastef-Les Patriotes has released the provisional list of candidates seeking to lead the party ahead of its upcoming congress. In its decision, the body overseeing the internal electoral process confirmed that only Ousmane Sonko’s candidacy has been deemed valid at this stage.
No other applications have been validated so far, according to the official document made public by the HARP. The upcoming Pastef-Les Patriotes congress, scheduled for the coming weeks, will notably elect the party’s new president.
