The Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director, Luis Campos, has unexpectedly addressed the club’s interest in signing Julian Alvarez from Atlético Madrid. His response came after a PSG fan publicly urged him on social media to finalize the deal. Instead of shutting the door, Campos outlined the essential conditions a player must meet to join the French giants.
Campos opens the door for Alvarez but sets firm expectations
While Luis Campos rarely engages on social platforms, he broke his silence when a PSG supporter directly challenged him to “bring Alvarez to Paris.” The club’s sporting director acknowledged the possibility but stressed that only players fully committed to the project would fit into the squad’s philosophy. His message was clear: “Those willing to give everything for this project and this club will come to Paris. Those seeking joy in playing beautiful football, training with teammates, and meeting the coach’s demands—more than chasing financial rewards—will thrive here.”
Campos emphasized that “it’s not money that comes first in football; football comes first. If you perform well, enjoy the game, and fight relentlessly for this jersey, titles will follow—and so will the rewards. Merit is deeply ingrained in our culture.”

In a series of replies on X, Luis Campos also shared his mindset ahead of the upcoming Champions League final, stating: “In top form. Stress-free. Calm and confident in our players, coach, staff, and everyone working daily to strengthen the team. Together, as one. Nothing is easy—character is a defining trait of this group.”
