The Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (Ccima) convened private sector representatives on 24 June 2026 to develop proposals for the 2027 finance law preparation.
This meeting aimed to gather, analyse and harmonise the concerns of economic operators ahead of scheduled discussions with the Directorate General of Taxation (DGI). Key topics included improving the national tax system, boosting business competitiveness and enhancing the overall business climate. Around twenty recommendations emerged from the sessions.
The initiative forms part of a broader effort to strengthen public-private dialogue and promote a tax framework that better reflects the realities of Cameroon’s economy.
