The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) have reported neutralizing nearly a hundred armed fighters during coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat on Tuesday.
According to an official statement, these strikes specifically targeted members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azavad Liberation Front (FLA). The operations included 13 airstrikes that resulted in the destruction of six armored vehicles and a pickup truck. The military emphasized that these efforts are part of an ongoing campaign against armed groups across multiple regions, reaffirming its commitment to carrying out such missions with “discipline and firmness” in collaboration with its allies.
African Corps, an allied force, confirmed via social media the destruction of a significant number of militant vehicles, adding that one of its drones successfully targeted a vehicle transporting ammunition and military supplies. The statement described the operations as highly effective joint efforts alongside Malian troops, vowing to continue targeting militant positions and equipment.
The Russian African Corps also highlighted the success of these joint operations, labeling them as “fruitful” and pledging to sustain pressure on armed groups in the area, including striking their logistical assets.
