Abidjan, 09 July 2026 – The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
Mobilising private capital for transformative growth
« This session marks a pivotal step in our collective journey to unlock private investment, foster entrepreneurship, and generate sustainable value for Côte d’Ivoire,» the Prime Minister stated. He highlighted the strong turnout, noting that over 700 investors from friendly nations had gathered to explore opportunities aligned with the country’s ambitious growth agenda.
The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who travelled to Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. Prime Minister Mambé emphasised that this forum serves as a vital platform for dialogue, enabling the government and private actors to align on a shared vision for development.
« Your presence here today reflects confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory and its growth potential,» he told the assembled investors. « As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive economy that creates jobs and drives lasting prosperity. The success of our shared vision hinges on your willingness to commit capital and expertise to this national endeavour.»
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s strategic pivot toward the private sector as the engine of economic transformation. He pointed to Côte d’Ivoire’s proven resilience, citing an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global economic turbulence. « This positions our nation among Africa’s fastest-growing economies,» he said.
« Today’s agenda is designed to accelerate investment in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030,» he continued. « We are opening doors to industrialisation, local processing of raw materials to add value, and massive infrastructure upgrades—particularly in transport, digital innovation, logistics, and human capital development. These investments will enhance competitiveness, attract further capital, and lay the foundation for a more inclusive and productive economy.»
He recalled that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and development strategy presentations, had drawn over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
In a show of strong investor backing, leaders from the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), the Confédération générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s development roadmap. They pledged substantial financial contributions toward the realisation of the PND 2026-2030, signalling deep confidence in the nation’s economic future.
