Ivorian PM drives investor confidence at 2026-2030 national development plan meeting

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, Robert Beugré Mambé, led the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan.

During the opening remarks, Robert Beugré Mambé highlighted the significance of the gathering: “This marks another milestone in our collective effort to mobilize private investments essential for driving Côte d’Ivoire’s development agenda forward. We welcome over 700 investors from friendly nations who have joined us today to explore opportunities in our thriving economy.”

The event drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives from across the globe. The Prime Minister emphasized the forum’s role in fostering dialogue and aligning visions for sustainable growth. “Your presence here today reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects,” he stated. “As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in transforming our economy into a more competitive and job-creating powerhouse.”

Robert Beugré Mambé reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He pointed to the nation’s economic resilience, highlighted by an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, which has solidified its standing as one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.

“This is a market brimming with potential,” he declared. “Today’s discussions will accelerate investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel a more productive and inclusive economy.”

He also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), the Confédération générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), and the Société financière internationale (SFI) reiterated their strong confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
