Promoted to the Premier League for the 2026-2027 season, Coventry City have confirmed that Frank Onyeka has joined the Sky Blues from Brentford in a permanent transfer.
The Nigerian midfielder originally arrived at Coventry on loan in January, and his permanent move from the Bees has now been triggered with the opening of the summer transfer window. The Nigeria international played a key role in helping Frank Lampard’s team win the Sky Bet Championship title. He made 14 appearances and scored a fantastic goal in a crucial match against Derby County last April.
The 28-year-old brings extensive Premier League experience, having played 75 top-flight league matches during his spell at Brentford. The length of the contract has not been disclosed.
