Deadly collision in Koundoul leaves motorcyclist dead in Chad
A devastating road accident unfolded this morning outside Koundoul, a town on the outskirts of N’Djamena, Chad. A heavy-duty truck collided with a motorcyclist, instantly killing the rider in a harrowing incident.
The force of the collision sent both the rider and his motorcycle sprawling across the roadway. At the time of impact, the motorcyclist was transporting a container of gasoline. Upon hitting the ground, the container ruptured, igniting a sudden blaze that engulfed both the motorcycle and its rider before emergency services could arrive.
Law enforcement personnel promptly secured the scene and launched an investigation to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Authorities have yet to release the identity of the victim.
This heartbreaking event underscores the persistent dangers faced by vulnerable road users, particularly motorcyclists, on the peri-urban roads surrounding Chad’s capital.
