Côte d’Ivoire’s prime minister rallies investors for 2026-2030 national development plan
Ivorian Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé launched the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, bringing together over 700 investors to boost the nation’s economic trajectory.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on private investment, kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« This marks a pivotal moment in our consultative process centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is to secure the private sector investments required to turn this development vision into reality. I am pleased to note that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this critical dialogue, » Prime Minister Mambé stated.
The gathering drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives to Abidjan, where the government emphasized the importance of this platform for fostering public-private collaboration and aligning on a shared growth strategy.
« Your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects. You are key partners in realizing our ambition to build a more competitive, job-creating economy. The success of this vision hinges on your willingness to invest, » he added.
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s economy, which has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability in recent years—averaging 6.5% growth—remains one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.
« Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunities. The sessions ahead will accelerate investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, development of critical infrastructure such as transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy, » he explained.
Prime Minister Mambé highlighted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
In response, leading figures from the private sector echoed their confidence in the government’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of France’s MEDEF, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their readiness to contribute financially to the PND 2026-2030 through substantial commitments.
