Côte d’Ivoire Makes Progress in Governance and Reforms

The African Partnership Facility (APF), a key mechanism for promoting good governance on the continent, has commended Côte d’Ivoire’s efforts to enhance stability, economic transformation, and institutional reforms.

  The APF, which is the premier instrument of the Union for the Mediterranean in evaluating African countries’ governance, hailed Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to consolidating political stability, fostering economic growth, implementing institutional reforms, and promoting regional leadership.

  ‘These achievements provide a solid foundation on which future evaluations can build,’ said Marie-Antoinette Rose-Quatre, Director-General of the African Partnership Facility Secretariat.

  During her visit to Côte d’Ivoire, she highlighted the importance of identifying key priorities for the second-generation evaluation process.

  ‘The APF is committed to supporting Côte d’Ivoire throughout this process,’ Rose-Quatre stated. ‘This collaboration represents a true partnership based on trust, dialogue, and shared commitment to strengthening governance across our continent.’

  APF President David Moussa Soro reiterated the organization’s goal of using governance as a tool for development in Côte d’Ivoire.

  ‘Governance and development are intertwined,’ Soro said. ‘We have developed two instruments to share experiences: an annual university summer school for good governance and a scientific journal on African integration and governance.’

  The APF’s engagement in Côte d’Ivoire is part of its broader mission to foster stability, promote economic growth, and support institutional reforms across the continent.
