The Chadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has once again rejected accusations that N’Djamena is plotting to destabilize the neighboring Central African Republic.
In a weekend statement, spokesperson Ibrahim Adam Mahamat dismissed claims that Chad is involved in any plan to undermine regional stability as part of a broader smear campaign targeting the country.
Describing the allegations as an attempt to damage Chad’s reputation and strain its diplomatic ties with Bangui, the ministry emphasized that such disinformation tactics will not go unchallenged. It urged journalists and social media users to rely on verified information rather than baseless rumors.
N’Djamena has consistently denied any involvement in destabilizing efforts against a neighboring state, reaffirming its commitment to sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the principle of non-interference. The Chadian government underscored that regional stability depends on Chad’s own security and diplomatic posture.
The country has faced repeated accusations from neighboring states and international observers, who claim it supports various armed factions across the Sahel and Central African regions. One recurring allegation involves the alleged backing of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have been locked in conflict with Sudan’s armed forces since April 2023.
