Cameroon’s IAI-Cameroon Graduate Shines at 2026 PEEA in Paris
A packed hall of scientists, cultural figures, and diplomats gathered in Paris witnessed Brayan Yebga Miyogog, a former student of the African Institute of Informatics-Cameroon (#IAI-Cameroon) / Paul Biya Centre of Technological Excellence, receive the ’African Student Excellence Award’ (PEEA) on June 27, 2026. This prestigious honor celebrates his resilience, academic brilliance, and ethical leadership that uplifts Africa’s global standing.
The international accolade underscores the caliber of talent nurtured at IAI-Cameroon, led by Resident Representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the #UNESCO Chair for Central Africa on ICT Access. Miyogog’s silver medal honors not only his individual achievement but the institution’s consistent commitment to cultivating industry-ready professionals.
Reflecting on his journey, the young laureate emphasized the pivotal role of his training at the Paul Biya Centre of Technological Excellence in shaping his success. “On the big day, I will proudly represent IAI-Cameroon. Every word in my speech will echo the foundation laid by this institution. It’s an honor to stand before this audience as proof of what dedication and quality education can achieve,” he shared. His words resonated with pride among the school’s leadership, who spare no effort in equipping graduates with market-leading skills.
Notably, just weeks before his Paris triumph, Miyogog’s brainchild—AgriGuardian—secured the coveted ‘Public TechforTech Award’ at the 2026 Petit Poucet competition, further cementing his reputation as a digital innovator.
Based in Montpellier, France, Miyogog currently serves as a junior systems architect and cybersecurity trainer. His expertise spans advanced computing, digital security, and artificial intelligence, positioning him as a rising star in Africa’s tech landscape.
