Strasbourg to face Newcastle in final pre-season friendly

Racing Club de Strasbourg, who concluded the last Ligue 1 season in 8th position, has updated its summer preparatory schedule by incorporating an additional friendly fixture against English side Newcastle United. This eagerly anticipated encounter is set to take place on August 16.

Earlier this week, Strasbourg had initially released a summer preparation plan featuring five friendly matches and a dedicated training camp in Faro, Portugal. However, the club has since confirmed the inclusion of one more significant fixture in their pre-season calendar.

On August 16, the Alsatian club, having finished 8th in the previous Championship campaign, will travel to St-James’ Park to challenge Newcastle at 5 PM. This crucial fixture will serve as Strasbourg’s final dress rehearsal before they commence their Ligue 1 season with an away trip to Marseille on August 21.
