PSG secures back-to-back Champions League titles in dramatic final
Paris Saint-Germain makes history by defending their Champions League crown in a thrilling final against Arsenal.

The Parisian club claimed victory in Budapest following a fiercely contested match that remained deadlocked until the very end.
The match that kept fans on edge
Arsenal struck first, putting PSG on the back foot with a goal just five minutes into the game. Despite this early setback, the French side rallied back, equalizing in the 64th minute through a penalty converted by Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé.
The tension never subsided—neither during regulation time nor in the 30 minutes of extra play. When the whistle blew after extra time, the score remained knotted, forcing the showdown into a nerve-wracking penalty shootout that ultimately crowned PSG champions once again.
A legendary achievement
By successfully defending their title, PSG joins an exclusive club—previously only Real Madrid had managed back-to-back victories in the modern era of the competition, with three consecutive wins from 2016 to 2018 under Zinédine Zidane’s leadership.
On to the World Cup
With six French players from this 71st Champions League final—Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé (PSG), and William Saliba (Arsenal)—securing their path to the French national team’s Clairefontaine base. They will now prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, with a preparatory friendly match scheduled against Côte d’Ivoire on June 4 at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.
