Ivorian PM drives investor talks to boost 2030 growth plan
Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, was officially launched by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. The event brought together over 700 investors from friendly nations, reinforcing the government’s commitment to private sector collaboration.
Investors rally for Côte d’Ivoire’s economic vision
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the gathering, stating, “Today marks another milestone in this consultative process focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is to mobilize private sector investments essential for driving this development agenda forward.”
The meeting, attended by business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, served as a vital platform to align public and private visions for economic growth. Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized the pivotal role of investors in transforming Côte d’Ivoire into a more competitive and job-creating economy.
Private sector as the backbone of Côte d’Ivoire’s transformation
The Prime Minister assured investors of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years. “This is a thriving market offering immense opportunities,” he noted, urging investors to capitalize on the expanding sectors outlined in the NDP 2026-2030.
Key focus areas include:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition
- Development of critical infrastructure, such as transport, digital systems, and logistics
- Investment in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster productivity and inclusivity
During the first day of the Consultative Group, over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, engaged in discussions on the country’s development strategy.
Private sector reaffirms commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s growth
Representatives from major business organizations echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with delegates from MEDEF Afrique and CGEM Morocco, pledged substantial financial commitments to support the NDP 2026-2030.
“We are fully prepared to contribute to this transformative vision,” they affirmed, underscoring the private sector’s readiness to play a central role in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic future.
