After a 20-day tour across all nine provinces of Gabon, the founding president of the Party for the 7 Wonders of the Gabonese People (7MP), Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, presented the results of a mission that went far beyond a simple proximity exercise. Between restructuring local chapters, recounting active members, and consolidating the Movement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%), this tour reflects 7MP’s determination to strengthen its position within the presidential majority under the Fifth Republic.
From 4 to 23 June 2026, Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma travelled the entire national territory to meet with party members, sympathisers, local officials and communities. During a press conference held at 7MP headquarters in Libreville, he explained that this tour was part of a strategy to revitalise the political party and consolidate its support for President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. Founded in 2010, 7MP now positions itself as a party within the presidential movement. The Movement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%), launched in February 2025, was created to back the reforms initiated by the head of state and to rally citizens around his agenda.
A tour in service of political restructuring
Beyond meeting with the public, the mission aimed to reorganise the party’s structures nationwide. According to 7MP officials, the efforts included recounting active members, registering new adherents, identifying new local leaders, and strengthening provincial coordination. The Movement Oligui Nguema 100% also used this tour to expand its presence across all nine provinces, seeking to unite more citizens behind the vision of the president.
For Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, this tour takes place in a context marked by the establishment of the Fifth Republic’s institutions. Discussions with militants served to reaffirm 7MP’s position as a political force committed to the head of state and to reiterate its support for the reforms undertaken since the Transition. This approach is part of a broader reshaping of Gabon’s political landscape, where several parties are working to consolidate their territorial foothold following the presidential, legislative and local elections.
Outlook focused on the ground
At the conclusion of the mission, 7MP announced several actions to continue its expansion: strengthening provincial coordinations, multiplying public meetings, structuring MON 100%, and setting up a permanent mechanism to relay the concerns of the population.
Beyond the organisational results, this tour appears as a step in 7MP’s strategy to solidify its place within the presidential majority and support the political directions of the Fifth Republic, while seeking to increase its visibility among communities across the entire national territory.
