Fiery fan banners ignite psg’s ligue 1 title celebration at bollaert

« Lens champion, fini d’y croire », « CUP bâtard »… Le match des banderoles entre supporters parisiens et Lensois

The evening of Paris Saint-Germain’s title triumph at Lens was marked by an intense exchange of banners at Bollaert. Parisian supporters openly mocked Lens over their championship aspirations, which was met with an immediate, sharp retort from the northern club’s faithful, targeting the Collectif Ultras Paris and Qatar.

Paris Saint-Germain’s championship victory on Wednesday evening at Lens was not just a football match; it also served as a stage for a spirited banner battle between the rival fan bases. In a twist of fate, it was at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis that Paris officially secured their 14th French league title, doing so against a Lens side that had fiercely challenged them for the top spot throughout the season.

The roughly 1,000 Parisian supporters situated in the away section initiated the verbal sparring with a provocative banner that read: « Lens champion, fini d’y croire… retournez boire !!!! » (Lens champions, stop believing… go back to drinking!!!!). This taunt proved difficult for the Sang et Or faithful to stomach, prompting a swift and direct response from their home crowd. Their banner targeted the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) with the message: « Frustré de pas avoir d’alcool au Qatar ? CUP bâtard » (Frustrated about not having alcohol in Qatar? CUP bastard).

Earlier in the fixture, Lens supporters had already voiced their discontent through other banners aimed at the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
