Chadian leader concludes diplomatic mission in United Arab Emirates

The President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, has returned to N’Djamena following an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The high-level trip concluded with a series of key discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

Diplomatic engagements in Abu Dhabi

During his visit, President Déby held two significant meetings with the Emirati leader, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace, while the second was hosted at the Chadian Head of State’s residence. These encounters focused on reinforcing cooperation between the two nations across political, economic, and security domains.

Warm welcome upon return

Upon landing in N’Djamena, President Déby was greeted by a high-ranking delegation. The welcoming party included the Prime Minister, Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, several cabinet ministers, and other senior officials. The presence of the N’Djamena city mayor underscored the importance of the occasion.

The visit to the United Arab Emirates represents another step in Chad’s ongoing efforts to expand its international partnerships, particularly in the Gulf region.
