In a significant step toward strengthening regional economic ties, the president of Algeria’s National Council for Economic, Social, and Environmental Affairs (CNESE), Mohamed Boukhari, arrived in Chad on Tuesday for an official visit at the invitation of his Chadian counterpart, Ahmat Mboudou Mahamat.
This high-level engagement is set to culminate in the opening ceremony of Chad’s second ordinary session of the Economic, Social, Cultural, and Environmental Council (CESCE) for 2026, scheduled for Wednesday in N’Djamena. The visit underscores a growing momentum in bilateral cooperation between the two nations, particularly in areas of economic policy and sustainable development.
The delegation from Algeria, led by Boukhari, will participate in discussions aimed at deepening collaboration across key sectors. The event highlights the shared commitment of both countries to fostering stronger economic integration within the Sahel region.
