Bénin unveils 2026 climate roadmap for resilient economy

Cotonou witnessed a landmark event this month as the Bénin government officially launched its third nationally determined contribution (NDC 3.0) for 2026-2035. The comprehensive climate strategy outlines a $14.5 billion financing plan to bolster the nation’s economic resilience against climate change while driving sustainable development across key sectors.

Climate strategy targets eight critical sectors

The NDC 3.0 framework identifies eight priority sectors most vulnerable to climate impacts.
