First inspection: completion of dredging works at Djonou bridge

The delegation’s first stop was the Djonou bridge in the municipality of Abomey-Calavi. Here, the dredging operations have reached full completion, effectively clearing the waterway. This intervention enhances stormwater drainage capacity and reinforces the structural integrity of the bridge.

Progress check on the Missessinto-Allada dual-carriageway

The minister then reviewed the ongoing expansion of the Missessinto-Allada segment (RNIE2), a dual-lane road project being executed by the consortium SCET Tunisie / BECI BTP. While commending the project’s satisfactory advancement, Georges Alé underscored the importance of maintaining the agreed construction schedule to deliver a modern, secure roadway to motorists without delay.

Final assessment: drainage basins and circular traffic junction in Allada

The tour concluded with an inspection of the newly constructed roundabout in Allada and the adjacent retention basins. Emphasizing sanitation priorities, the minister directed technical teams to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Health to mitigate potential health hazards associated with water stagnation.
