The Burkinabè delegation arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 2, 2026, to compete in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2026, a prestigious global event showcasing top young AI talents.
Pascaline Lompo and Madina Toé, after months of rigorous training—including national selections and intensive machine learning workshops—will represent Burkina Faso in this year’s competition. They are accompanied by their Team Leader, Ariel Shadrac Ouédraogo, who will guide them through the challenges ahead.
This participation allows the Burkinabè representatives to benchmark their skills against global peers while spotlighting Burkina Faso’s growing capabilities in artificial intelligence.
