A lively evening celebrating the rich traditions of West African music and dance unfolded in a warm, festive atmosphere.

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Marcel-Sembat hall resonated with the rhythms of West African music and dance during the Vibrations africaines gala, organized by the Faso Lili association.

Before a captivated audience of 170 guests, the evening showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of West Africa while supporting a meaningful charitable initiative.

For years, Faso Lili has been dedicated to promoting traditional West African music and dance through classes, workshops, and performances. This annual gala provided a platform for members to display their progress alongside acclaimed professional artists.

The show, blending live music and choreography, featured nearly 70 performers on stage, accompanied by five professional musicians and two professional dancers. The audience was treated to performances by Samba Diarra, a singer-songwriter, Ali Diarra, a member of the group Les Frères Diarra, and choreographer and dancer Moussa Camara. The Malian professional dancer Mariam Doumbia also contributed her exceptional talent and energy to the production.

The evening transported spectators with infectious rhythms, dazzling costumes, and a heartfelt celebration of West African culture. During intermission, guests enjoyed a convivial moment with refreshments available on-site.

Beyond its artistic brilliance, the gala served a humanitarian purpose. All proceeds from the event will support Faso Lili’s cultural center project in Burkina Faso, a venture aimed at enhancing cultural access, preserving knowledge, and fostering intercultural exchange.

Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, artists, members, and attendees, the 2026 edition of Vibrations africaines was a resounding success, reaffirming the power of culture as a force for connection, solidarity, and shared joy.
