Dialogue: A Chance for Peace in the DRC
The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, has announced his intention to hold a national dialogue. This decision was made after meeting with the country’s main religious groups.

The coalition of opposition welcomed the announcement and decided to postpone a planned demonstration in Kinshasa on July 22, 2026. However, they are demanding that the President officially convene the dialogue by August 15, 2026, or risk reinitiating civil mobilizations.
