Tchad reviews biennial progress of state leader’s agenda

From June 2 to 5 in N’Djamena, the General Secretariat of the Government of Chad hosted a technical validation workshop to assess the biennial report on the implementation of the Head of State’s political program. This four-day gathering, held at the Radisson Blu hotel, marks a critical milestone in tracking the progress of key national commitments made two years ago.

Assessing promises and national progress

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Ramatou Mahamat Outouin, Minister and Secretary-General of the Government, emphasized the significance of this technical review. She highlighted that the exercise goes beyond mere document validation—it is a vital opportunity to measure how effectively the government has delivered on its promises to the Chadian people.

« This workshop is not just about reviewing a report; it is about examining where we stand in fulfilling our commitments to the nation, » she stated, underscoring the administration’s dedication to transparent governance and citizen-centered leadership under President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno’s vision.

A transparent and accountable process

Dr. Outouin paid tribute to the teams responsible for compiling the report, acknowledging their dedication: « Every statistic and indicator reflects the hard work and humility of countless individuals who contributed to this effort. » She stressed that accountability is not an easy process, but it is essential for identifying achievements and addressing challenges.

« We are not here to pat ourselves on the back, but to critically assess our progress, » she said, calling for a collective evaluation of results and obstacles ahead. She also emphasized that the government’s efforts must directly benefit citizens—whether farmers, teachers, or entrepreneurs—reflecting the administration’s core priorities.

Toward a faithful and actionable report

The Minister concluded by urging participants to approach the review with both technical precision and human responsibility. « This document must accurately capture the reality of our progress and the work still ahead, » she affirmed, officially launching the workshop proceedings.
