The Olympique de Marseille will wrap up their preseason preparations with a high-stakes friendly against Atlético Madrid at the Vélodrome on Friday, August 14 at 17:30. The encounter serves as the team’s last major test before the Ligue 1 opener the following week.

For several summers now, Olympique de Marseille has made it tradition to close preseason with an exhibition match against a top European side at home. Following past showdowns with Napoli (2019), Villarreal (2021), AC Milan (2022), Bayer Leverkusen (2023) and Aston Villa (2025), Marseille will once again welcome a Spanish giant to Stade Vélodrome.
