In Paris, a small number of supporters ignited smoke flares, while suburban areas saw sporadic mortar fire. By early Friday, authorities confirmed ten individuals had been detained for various offenses linked to the post-match celebrations. Three were arrested in the capital for phone thefts, four for armed violence and conspiracy to commit violence—also in Paris—and three in Seine-Saint-Denis for mortar fire. It remains unclear how many of these cases resulted in formal custody.

Minor injury reported during scuffle in Paris’ 7th arrondissement

Technical difficulties forced organizers to cancel the match screening at Le Grand Rex in Paris. Fans instead gathered in nearby bars to watch the game. As the final whistle blew, crowds spilled onto the streets, briefly obstructing traffic before police intervention restored order.

Around 12:30 AM in the 7th arrondissement along Quai Jacques Chirac, a minor altercation between supporters led to a stabbing incident. One person suffered a non-life-threatening hip injury and was rushed to hospital.

Security agencies had previously flagged this quarterfinal as a high-risk event due to its elimination stakes and late-night broadcast time. Authorities warned that public gatherings and pyrotechnic use were likely, regardless of the match outcome.
