Bayern Munich president shuts down Real Madrid’s hopes for Michael Olise

After a trophyless season, Real Madrid is determined to strengthen its squad this summer to avoid a repeat. Among the names linked to the Spanish giants is Michael Olise. However, Bayern Munich has issued a statement that could cool the hopes of the Merengues.

Real Madrid has not yet recovered from its trophyless campaign. The club is keen to avoid a similar outcome next season and plans to bolster José Mourinho’s squad. Several names have emerged in recent weeks, including Michael Olise. The 24-year-old, currently playing in the 2026 World Cup with the French national team, has shone for Bayern Munich. The Bavarians have directly addressed Real Madrid regarding a potential transfer of the French international.

We are not a selling club

“As I have already stated, if Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has an offer in mind, he can save himself the trouble because we do not want to sell Michael Olise. Bayern Munich maintains excellent relations with Real Madrid, and they contacted me to say, first, that they have absolutely no contact with Michael Olise, and second, that they do not wish for these constant media speculations. He is a Bayern Munich player with a long-term contract. And we are not a selling club,” said Herbert Hainer, Bayern Munich president.

Another rejection for Real Madrid in the transfer market

Real Madrid now knows where it stands regarding Michael Olise. After Julian Alvarez, the Liga side faces another rejection in the transfer window. It remains to be seen whether the Casa Blanca will persist in their pursuit of the 24-year-old winger or turn to another target. Stay tuned.
