The Malian authorities have placed a substantial bounty on the head of a jihadist commander known as Jouleybib de Nampala. Wanted posters circulating across the country reveal his true identity: Abdoulaye Mamoudou Bakaye Diallo, a senior figure within the Groupe de soutien à l’islam et aux musulmans (Jnim). This operation signals Bamako’s intensified campaign against militant leaders operating in the Sahel region.
