Sonko’s Big Push in Mbacké
Ousmane Sonko, the charismatic leader of Pastef, has kicked off his campaign to sell adhesion cards to voters in Mbacké. The operation is crucial for the party ahead of the upcoming elections.
During a rally at a local stadium, Sonko called on local leaders and party supporters to put aside their differences. ‘We must unite if we are to succeed,’ he said, as the crowd cheered.
Ambitious Goal
Sonko set an ambitious target: to gain one million new members in Mbacké by October. He believes that this alone could achieve this goal.
Unity Over Rivalries
Sonko also urged his supporters to focus on their work and ignore those who do not have a genuine stake in the party. ‘Don’t get into fights with anyone, don’t respond to provocations. If there’s peace in Senegal, Pastef will win all the elections,’ he said.
