While the global football spectacle of the World Cup captures headlines, the transfer market continues its relentless pace, with significant player movements taking shape. Among these, the future of Paris Saint-Germain forward Gonçalo Ramos has now been officially sealed, with only the final signatures pending to complete his move.
The agreement between the French champions and AC Milan has been confirmed this Saturday, following earlier reports. “Gonçalo Ramos is set to depart PSG and will sign with AC Milan. Both clubs have successfully reached an accord for a transaction valued at 70 million euros, inclusive of bonuses,” a source close to the negotiations revealed.
a monumental transaction for both european giants
Having joined Paris in August 2023 from Benfica, initially on a paid loan worth 20 million euros before a permanent transfer of approximately 65 million euros, the 25-year-old Portuguese striker is now poised to become the most expensive acquisition in the history of the Rossoneri. This record surpasses the 50 million euros paid for Rafael Leao when he was brought in from Lille in 2019.
From the Parisian perspective, this operation is equally remarkable. Only Neymar’s transfer to Al-Hilal in 2023, which commanded 90 million euros, has generated a higher sum for the capital club. During his tenure with PSG, Gonçalo Ramos participated in a total of 131 matches across all competitions, impressively netting 45 goals and contributing nine assists.
