Gabon’s 7mp and 100% Oligui movement unite after national tour

The Gabonese People’s 7 Wonders Party (7MP) and the 100% Oligui Nguema Movement (MON 100%) held a press conference at the Cité Damas in Libreville to present the findings of their nationwide tour, conducted from June 4 to 25, 2026, across all nine provinces of Gabon. The event highlighted key takeaways from the mission and outlined the groups’ future strategic direction.

Leading the delegation was Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, founder and president of both 7MP and MON 100%. The team engaged directly with citizens, activists, and local leaders to gather firsthand insights into the country’s post-2025 presidential election landscape. The discussions focused on pressing social and political issues affecting communities nationwide.

Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma emphasized that the tour also strengthened internal cohesion within both movements. « Since June 4, 2026, we have joined forces to sustain the momentum initiated on February 8, 2025, » he stated. The collaboration reflects a broader effort to unify grassroots support ahead of upcoming political challenges.

Throughout the tour, participants addressed critical concerns raised by the public, including youth unemployment, access to clean water, road infrastructure, healthcare, education, and rising living costs. « Our goal was to listen and assess the ground realities faced by our fellow citizens, » Ngoueneni Ndzengouma explained.

In addition to gathering public feedback, the organizations advanced their organizational goals. Provincial coordination structures were streamlined, member databases were updated, and new supporters were enrolled. « The mission enabled us to identify fresh local leaders, expand MON 100%’s reach into all nine provinces, and collect over 1,000 new membership applications, » the movement’s president noted.

Political figures such as Angélique Ngoma, Secretary-General of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), and Gervais Oniane, President of the Union for the Republic (UPR), attended the conference. Oniane urged political parties to prioritize dialogue and collective action. « Political formations must unite in a spirit of responsibility to support the nation’s transformative agenda, » he asserted.

The 7MP and MON 100% leadership proposed establishing a consultative platform for like-minded political parties backing President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema’s administration. They argued that such a framework could enhance coordination and policy alignment among participating groups.
