Posing as direct-selling marketing firms, operators dangled promises of well-paid overseas employment before unsuspecting youth. Their scheme collapsed when gendarmerie units conducted coordinated raids across multiple cities.

A total of thirteen individuals linked to a transnational human trafficking ring have been arraigned in Yaoundé. The suspects operated under false corporate identities including QNET, IGNITE and UNIMEC, targeting students, unemployed graduates and job seekers desperate for foreign opportunities.

Two alleged ringleaders, reportedly hiding in the neighboring Congo and Central African Republic, remain at large as investigations continue. Security sources confirm the crackdown spans several Cameroonian cities, with additional arrests expected as the probe deepens.
