Benin’s DGI sets September 21 as launch date for online tax services in Parakou

Online tax services extend to Parakou, Comè and Lokossa from 21 September 2026

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) will open its e-services platform to partner taxpayers of the Small Business Tax Centres (CIPE) in Parakou, Comè and Lokossa, with a phased rollout beginning 21 September 2026.

The move also enables taxpayers to obtain tax documents online, including payment receipts and tax compliance certificates. The DGI is planning awareness and training sessions to help the taxpayers concerned use the platform.

The extension targets partner taxpayers attached to these three CIPEs and broadens access to the digital tax services already offered by the administration.

Three rollout dates across three cities

The schedule sets out three phases: 21 September in Parakou, 28 September in Comè and 5 October in Lokossa. On each of those dates, the taxpayers concerned will be able to access online services via the DGI e-services platform.

Available procedures include filing obligations and payments, as well as access to certain tax certificates. The administration’s stated goal is to reduce trips to tax offices and ease the administrative burden linked to these formalities.

This extension is part of the gradual digitalisation of tax procedures in Benin. For the partner taxpayers involved, the first operational deadline is 21 September 2026 in Parakou, followed by Comè a week later and Lokossa on 5 October.
