Aminata Touré critiques Ousmane Sonko: you failed as prime minister

During a press conference, the general supervisor of the Diomaye Président coalition addressed the dismissal of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

Aminata Touré stated that Sonko’s time in office ended in failure, which led to his removal. She remarked sarcastically: ‘Niou fal la Premier ministre djokh la ay dossiers meuno ci touss niou dakeu la’ — meaning that he was appointed to handle important files but could not deliver, and thus was let go.

Touré further emphasized that true courage lies in solving the problems of Senegalese citizens through skills, strategic thinking, and one’s network, rather than wielding full powers for two years without offering any solutions to the difficulties faced by the people.
