The Kingdom of Morocco has elevated humanitarian action to a cornerstone of its foreign policy and African cooperation, as outlined by His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s visionary leadership, stated on Tuesday the Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Mohamed Arrouchi.
Speaking during a public session of the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC) focused on refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and humanitarian assistance in Africa, Mr. Arrouchi emphasized that Morocco, under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI—who serves as the AU Champion on migration—has consistently prioritized humanitarian initiatives. The Kingdom remains unwavering in its commitment to alleviating humanitarian crises across the continent, regardless of their location, he added.
