Mali and Morocco Launch Fourth Session of Mixed Commission for Cooperation in Bamako

The cooperation between Mali and Morocco is entering a new phase, according to the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The fourth session of the mixed commission for cooperation between the two countries will take place from July 21 to 24, 2026, in Bamako.

During these four days, government officials, experts, and economic operators will come together to define the next priorities of the partnership between the two states.

This meeting represents one of the main mechanisms for dialogue between the governments of Mali and Morocco. It will allow for a review of the actions already taken, identification of the results obtained, and consideration of new areas of collaboration responding to the current needs of both countries.

The experts will open the works on July 21 and 22, while July 23 will be dedicated to the Mali-Maroc Business Forum, an event aimed at bringing together the economic milieus of the two countries and encouraging investments and partnerships in creative value-added projects.

The exchanges will cover several sectors considered priority for development, including commerce, agriculture, investments, infrastructure, mining, energy, healthcare, vocational training, higher education, security, culture, youth, and sports. The objective is to reinforce existing cooperation while opening new perspectives in fields with high potential.

These sessions should also lead to the signature of several agreements and memoranda of understanding. These texts will have the purpose of consolidating the legal framework of cooperation and facilitating the implementation of new joint projects.

Through this series of meetings, Bamako and Rabat demonstrate their willingness to continue a partnership based on trust, mutual respect, and shared interests. The conclusions of the ministerial session are expected to be particularly awaited, as they will define the main orientations of cooperation between the two countries for the coming years.
