The National Office for the Organization of the Pilgrimage (ORGEP) has issued a critical advisory to Chadian pilgrims preparing for the 2026 Hajj, emphasizing strict adherence to Saudi Arabian authorities’ safety and conduct regulations.
Key restrictions and health precautions for the sacred journey
In a formal communication to pilgrims, ORGEP underscored the prohibition of political or partisan religious discussions in hotels and at the holy sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. Any organized gatherings with political undertones are also strictly forbidden during the pilgrimage period.
The office further warned against hosting unauthorized individuals in accommodation facilities or on religious sites, stressing the need for stringent compliance with accommodation guidelines.
Managing extreme heat and physical demands
With temperatures soaring in Saudi Arabia, pilgrims are advised to avoid outdoor activities between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to prevent heat-related health risks. ORGEP also cautioned against prolonged walking between ritual sites to conserve energy and prevent exhaustion.
Special provisions have been made for elderly, ill, or physically challenged pilgrims, who may appoint a representative to perform the Ramy al-Jamarat (stoning of the pillars) ritual on their behalf.
Emergency protocols and contact information
In the event of emergencies or difficulties, pilgrims are instructed to contact the dedicated Saudi assistance hotline at 1966 immediately for prompt support.
ORGEP concluded the advisory by urging all Chadian pilgrims to prioritize these measures, ensuring a safe and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience in 2026.
