Amadou ba exposes alleged damning phone call between sonko and aminate toure

The former Prime Minister reportedly made harsh remarks about Bassirou Diomaye Faye during a conversation with Ousmane Sonko while he was imprisoned, according to the Pastef deputy.

During a press briefing organized by Pastef-Les Patriotes, Deputy Amadou Ba unveiled what he described as the “truth” behind alleged phone communications between Ousmane Sonko and Aminata Touré at a time when the current Prime Minister was incarcerated. This disclosure adds another layer to the ongoing debate surrounding the government’s handling of public funds.

According to Amadou Ba, Aminata Touré, who served as Prime Minister at the time, allegedly expressed strong criticism of Bassirou Diomaye Faye during her conversation with Ousmane Sonko. The deputy quoted her as saying, “Diomaye lacks the capability to lead this country. If you leave him in charge, he won’t last two years.”

Amadou Ba argued that these remarks starkly contrast with Aminata Touré’s current public stance, accusing her of attempting to rewrite history to align with shifting political dynamics. He emphasized the inconsistency between her past statements and her present actions, framing it as a deliberate effort to manipulate public perception.

In the midst of escalating tensions between the two political factions, the deputy called for restraint rather than confrontation. “He is pushing us toward violence, but we will not take the bait,” he stated, reaffirming Pastef’s commitment to political dialogue over direct conflict.
