The Senate of Cameroon is fully prepared to open its ordinary session for June 2026, scheduled for tomorrow, 9 June 2026.
Demonstrating administrative thoroughness, the Secretary General of the Senate, Mr. Gustave Léopold Ngane, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General and other senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council this morning, 8 June 2026.
This final assessment aimed to verify the readiness of all essential infrastructure for the smooth conduct of parliamentary business. The delegation carefully examined the conference rooms, the VIP reception lounge, the banquet halls, and the main hemicycle that will host senators throughout the session.
Following the inspection, the Secretary General expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of all installations. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations had been completed ahead of the session’s opening.
In line with parliamentary tradition, the June ordinary session will primarily focus on deliberations regarding the budget orientation, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Court of Accounts of the Supreme Court, as well as the careful review and adoption of draft laws.
