Morocco shines at Düsseldorf diplomatic gala marking 70 years of ties

On June 2, 2026, the Kingdom of Morocco took center stage at the Konsularischer Abend in Düsseldorf, celebrating seven decades of Moroccan-German relations before a crowd of 300 political and economic leaders.
Addressing the audience, Morocco’s Consul General in Düsseldorf, Boutaina Bouabid, and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Lamghari, highlighted the exceptional strength of the strategic partnership between Rabat and Berlin. They also praised the vital role played by the Moroccan community in Germany as a bridge for cultural and economic exchange.
Backed by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), the high-profile gathering showcased the Kingdom’s latest achievements through multimedia presentations, a traditional caftan fashion show, and a captivating Gnawa musical performance.
This landmark event underscores the shared commitment of both nations to deepen and sustain their diplomatic, economic, and cultural collaboration.
