The Kazakhstani delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov, concluded a productive meeting in Rabat with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour to strengthen bilateral economic ties.

Kazakhstan has designated Morocco as a strategic trade partner, with plans to directly import high-quality Moroccan products—eliminating intermediaries—to meet growing domestic demand. Kuantyrov emphasized the importance of these direct trade channels during the discussions.

In return, Kazakhstan aims to boost exports of wheat, finished goods, and other commodities to Morocco. Both nations share aligned positions on international agendas and mutual support in global forums, fostering a robust political foundation for deeper cooperation.

Speaking at the joint press conference, Minister Mezzour highlighted the complementary nature of the two economies. He noted that Kazakhstan’s abundant resources—including natural gas, cereals, and meat—could play a pivotal role in enhancing Morocco’s food security, stabilizing prices, and improving purchasing power for citizens.

The talks underscored a shared commitment to transforming bilateral trade into a sustainable, long-term partnership. Both sides agreed to prioritize direct exchanges, secure supply chains, and encourage mutual investments to drive economic growth in both countries.
