By 2 p.m., the Place de la Porte de Saint-Cloud – bordering the Parc des Princes, where the final will be shown – had transformed into an open-air terrace of joy. Several thousand Parisian fans, some with their feet cooling in the fountain’s water, were chanting PSG anthems, setting off flares, and soaking up the pre-match euphoria under the blazing sun.
The crowd, a mix of young supporters from Paris and its suburbs and visitors from as far as Brazil, was united by one goal: to relive the magic of last year’s victory celebration. Chants of ‘We want the second one’ and ‘Dembélé for Ballon d’Or’ echoed between bursts of smoke from flares. The atmosphere remained spirited yet good-natured, with fans playfully engaging the riot police stationed around the stadium.
