On 30 June 2026, Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, met with the heads of the National Printing Office and Impact Palmarès R&D to assess technological approaches for strengthening the security of administrative documents and transport credentials.
The Ministry of Transport is actively working on modernising and safeguarding official paperwork. During the audience, the minister welcomed the director general of the National Printing Office, Oyono Bika Pierre, and the managing director of Impact Palmarès R&D, Léonie Kwekam, to review potential innovations.
Impact Palmarès R&D presented a technical system that leverages multiple advanced technologies designed to protect official documents against counterfeiting. The proposed solution aims to make documents far more difficult to replicate while simplifying their authentication process.
Discussions also covered the protection of transport titles issued by the ministry, secure watermarking of letterheads, opportunities to enhance tracking of administrative paperwork, and ways to boost non-tax revenue collection.
While acknowledging the value of the presented concepts, Minister Ngallè Bibéhè stressed the importance of conducting thorough technical, legal, administrative, and financial assessments before any implementation. The reform seeks to improve the reliability and security of official documents across Cameroon.
