Algerian prime minister concludes official visit to Niger
The Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, concluded his official visit to Niger on Wednesday, departing from Niamey. The visit centered around the inauguration of the Algerian-Nigerien Solidarity Electric Power Plant, a 40-megawatt facility generously gifted by Algeria to support Niger’s energy infrastructure development.
This strategic project reflects the deep historical and fraternal ties between Algeria and Niger, particularly in energy cooperation. The inauguration ceremony was jointly presided over by Mr. Sifi Ghrieb and Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine Mahaman, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations.
Following the ceremony, the Algerian Prime Minister was received by Nigerien President General Abdourahamane Tiani. During the meeting, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb conveyed the fraternal greetings of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reaffirming Algeria’s commitment to strengthening solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support between the two nations.
At his departure from Niamey International Airport, the Algerian Prime Minister was honored by the presence of Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine Mahaman and the Algerian Ambassador to Niger, Mr. Ahmed Saadi, who witnessed his departure.
