Benin Romuald Wadagni sets 2026-2033 agenda: poverty and security in focus

Just days after taking office, Benin’s freshly inaugurated President Romuald Wadagni—who succeeds Patrice Talon at the helm of the nation—presided over his inaugural Council of Ministers on Thursday, May 28, 2026. During this pivotal gathering, the Head of State outlined two overriding national objectives that will shape his administration’s agenda.
