The Algerian delegation from Sonelgaz International, currently in N’Djamena for a working mission focused on a power plant construction project, is wrapping up its visit to Chad. To celebrate the conclusion of this visit, the Chadian Minister of Water and Energy hosted an official dinner in their honor at a local hotel.
The evening was filled with traditional dances, a shared buffet, and the ceremonial cutting of a cake, highlighting the strong ties between Chad and Algeria. Following three days of technical discussions, site visits, and inspections of the chosen location for the future power plant, the Sonelgaz International team expressed its commitment to supporting Chad in boosting its energy production. This collaboration aims to enhance electricity access for local communities across the country.
For Chadian authorities, the initiative to build a 50 MW power plant represents a significant gesture of solidarity and a tangible demonstration of the excellent relations between Chad and Algeria. The evening concluded with the exchange of symbolic gifts, reinforcing the spirit of partnership and cooperation between the two nations.
